Recommendations
The German National Hydrogen Council's role is to advise the German Federal Government on the further development of hydrogen policy to achieve Germany's goal of climate neutrality by 2045. To this end, it formulates concrete policy recommendations for the government.
To meet the general need for information on hydrogen, the German National Hydrogen Council also addressed, during its previous term of office, issues that had not yet been settled or conclusively resolved. In information and white papers, the NWR presented these facts and correlations and formulated requests for policy review and consideration.

The German National Hydrogen Council draws on recent scientific studies as well as the industry knowledge and positions of its members when preparing its statements and position papers. During its previous term of office, where necessary, the German National Hydrogen Council commissioned brief studies on specific issues.
