Dr. Andreas Gorbach
Dr. Andreas Gorbach is a Member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck AG since 2021. He is currently responsible for Truck Technology, driving the transformation toward sustainable and future-ready commercial transportation. After studying at the University of Stuttgart and receiving his doctoral degree in Engineering and Process Technology, Andreas Gorbach joined Daimler in 2005 in the powertrain development department.
He held various management positions in the following years, including head of development for the global engine platforms, culminating in his role as CEO of cellcentric, the fuel-cell joint venture of Daimler Truck and Volvo Group, before joining the Daimler Truck Board in 2021. As a recognized advocate for hydrogen-based transportation, Dr. Gorbach has been instrumental in advancing fuel-cell technology and establishing hydrogen as a key pillar of Daimler Truck’s dual-track strategy for decarbonization.
