Stefanie Peters

Stefanie Peters is the Managing Partner of the NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP (NEA), a medium-sized family business with over 190 years of history. For nearly 100 years, NEA has been a leading manufacturer of gas compression systems, particularly for hydrogen and hydrogen-mixed gases.
Together with her brother, Alexander Peters, she heads the long-established company based in Übach-Palenberg near Aachen, which currently employs more than 1,200 people in 10 countries, operates over 20 companies, and has 6 production sites in Germany and the USA, generating consolidated annual sales of approximately €230 million.
In the developing hydrogen economy, NEA has positioned itself as an integrated solutions provider: with the acquisition of HYTRON, a manufacturer of both decentralized and centrally scalable PEM and alkaline electrolyzers and reformers, the group has significantly expanded its portfolio towards hydrogen production systems. Through its investments in the H2 mobility startup AEDS (Alternative Energy Driven Solutions) and the US-based e-fuels technology provider INFINIUM, as well as the acquisition of ARCANUM in the green gas sector, NEA covers essential technology and solution areas for a future hydrogen economy.
The appointment of Stefanie Peters to the National Hydrogen Council, and thus the shaping of its key parameters, is of paramount importance to her: “With all our knowledge and experience, we are making a significant contribution to the success of the hydrogen economy in Germany. My goal, and our goal, is to develop the technology and value chain for the production, transport, storage, and application of hydrogen in Germany, including for export, in order to create sustainable jobs.”
