Stefanie Peters

Stefanie Peters is the Managing Partner of the NEUMAN & ESSER GROUP (NEA), a medium-sized family business with more than 190 years of company history. For almost 100 years, NEA has been successful, among other things, as a leading manufacturer of gas compression systems and especially H2 and H2 mixed gases.

Together with her brother Alexander Peters, Stefanie heads the traditional company from Übach-Palenberg near Aachen, with currently more than 1,200 employees in 10 countries, more than 20 companies and 6 production sites in Germany and the USA, and a consolidated annual turnover of around € 230 million.

NEA has positioned itself as an integrating solution provider in the developing hydrogen economy: with the acquisition of HYTRON as a manufacturer of both decentralized and centrally scalable PEM and alkali electrolysers and reformers, the group of companies has decisively expanded its portfolio in the direction of hydrogen generation systems. With its stakes in the H2 mobility startup AEDS (Alternative Energy Driven Solutions) and the US e-fuels technology provider INFINIUM as well as the acquisition of ARCANUM in the field of green gases, NEA covers essential technology and solution fields of a future hydrogen economy.

The appointment of Stefanie Peters to the National Hydrogen Council and thus the design of the essential cornerstones is an important concern for her: “With all of our knowledge and experience, we make a significant contribution to the success of the hydrogen economy in Germany. My goal and our goal is to build up the technology and added value for the generation, transport, storage and application of hydrogen in Germany, also for export, in order to create sustainable jobs.
