Dr. Jörg Bergmann
Jörg Bergmann (born 1962) was a member of the management board of Open Grid Europe GmbH (OGE) from 2008 to June 2024, initially responsible for the commercial, regulatory, and asset management divisions. From July 2017 to June 2024, he served as spokesperson for the management board, primarily responsible for corporate development, network planning, customer services, and human resources. He currently works for OGE as a senior advisor, focusing particularly on energy system transformation.
During his time as a member of the management board at OGE, Jörg Bergmann spearheaded various strategic hydrogen projects spanning multiple value chains, working with renowned partners on both the generation and distribution sides. The goal was to utilize large portions of the existing natural gas infrastructure to create a nationwide hydrogen network in Germany with European connections.
He heads the working group "Transport, Infrastructure, Storage, and Heat" within the National Hydrogen Council.
