Dr. Arnd Köfler
Arnd Köfler was a member of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG from January 2017 to June 2024. His responsibilities included the entire production division, encompassing all activities from pig iron production and rolling to refining.
He began his career in 1994 at Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann GmbH (HKM) in the pig iron division. Until 2013, he held various positions at HKM, including Head of Burst Preparation, Head of Continuous Casting, Head of Quality and Order Control, and Head of Crude Steel Production. He joined thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG in 2013 as Head of Steel Production and, in January 2016, assumed leadership of the Rolling and Refining division at the Beeckerwerth site.
Arnd Köfler, born in 1967, studied mechanical engineering at the Ruhr University Bochum before receiving his doctorate in ferrous metallurgy from RWTH Aachen in 1999.
